Graduation is one of the most monumental milestones in a student’s life, and Alyce’s Notre Dame Law School session was no exception! From the beautiful architecture to the stunning regalia, it’s the kind of shoot that makes you feel all kinds of pride.
ND Law School: A Graduate's Dream Backdrop
Notre Dame’s Law School is a gorgeous location for graduate portraits. While most graduates tend to head to familiar spots like the Grotto or Library Lawn, ND Law School offers its own unique charm. We mostly focused around the Law School building, using its striking arches and elegant doors to frame Alyce's graduation portraits. The Law School’s garden arches and steps were ideal for capturing those perfect moments of accomplishment. We also went to the God Quad. The regal wooden doors at the Basilica made for an incredible backdrop, perfectly complementing her vibrant blue law regalia.

The Challenge: Limited Regalia Availability
For those of you planning ahead for your law school grad photos, here's a heads-up: Regalia is only available for one week before the ceremony, which makes scheduling a challenge. Availability for law students is limited, so it’s best to book your session early! Alyce and I were able to make it work and get those timeless photos in the beautiful, iconic spots that every law grad should have.

A lot of people are hesitant about the law regalia since it’s more elaborate than your typical graduation gown. But let me tell you—wear it! This is an achievement years in the making, and you should own it in your photos.
