When it comes to choosing a location for senior photos, it all comes down to the look that speaks to you or your teen. For me, downtown Elkhart is hands down one of the best places for senior photos. It’s not only close to South Bend but also packed with amazing textures, light, and backgrounds that make for gorgeous photos. The urban vibe works beautifully no matter the season—whether it’s a chilly fall or early spring day, downtown Elkhart’s urban charm shines without needing lush green foliage. The lights, textures, and cityscape make the perfect backdrop.

Take Rhylie’s session, for example. She paired her outfit perfectly with the urban setting—ripped jeans, sunnies, and sneakers for a casual look and a dressier outfit that worked wonders against a colorful background. The mix of textures and light really brought her personality to life in the photos.

Ahh! I love it so much. Senior videography just really ups the game, and Downtown Elkhart is the perfect complimentary location, if you ask me. If your student loves this look, I strongly recommend an urban location for pictures. Mishawaka, Goshen and South Bend have great spots, too, but my vote is Elkhart all day.
