Home!

My favorite place, hands down to take pictures of any family is your own home. It’s available year round and always leaves you feeling most comfortable. You can go documentary or a little more traditional, too, so it’s flexible. You don’t have to have a magazine ready home, or be part of the local garden tour with a gorgeous yard. You just need each other, hopefully some good light through a window, or a spot of shade in the backyard. You don’t have to travel, and if you have a wardrobe issue, your closet is just a few steps away. It’s such a win. Home sessions for life!

This family was a little more on the traditional side, so we found some places around the outside of their house to pose a little more formally. The family dog even got in on the action.
