Graduation season at Notre Dame is always full of individual portraits and group sessions, but there’s another group that’s stealing the spotlight: couples. Several grads wanted to celebrate this milestone by including their favorite person, and honestly, can you blame them? Your favorite place and your favorite person—it’s a winning combo.
Couples aren’t the only dynamic duos this year, either. I’ve also photographed twin siblings graduating together. While twin graduates may be a rare sight, I’ve already had two sets in front of my lens this season!

Details I’m Loving
This couple’s session was such a joy, and it might have something to do with the fact that I immediately recognized the “Midwest-nice” in her (she’s an Indiana native!).
During this shoot, I was reminded that these two belong to the group of Covid Seniors who didn’t have a traditional graduation ceremony. It made capturing their cap, gown, cords, and stoles feel extra special. I love when grads want to wear the full regalia—we’re celebrating a milestone, after all!
Also, shoutout to Joe for rocking that red tie. Small details like that always stand out!
