About Me

I think it might be pretty weird to hire someone you don’t know anything about. Stranger danger! But in all seriousness, if you’re going to pay someone money to photograph your family, you probably don’t want to feel like you don’t know that person. Let me tell you a little about myself.

I have a couple other jobs.

My only full-time job is mom, and I hope to keep it that way for as long as we are financially able to do so. I schedule photography part time, which is why I probably take about 1/2 the sessions another photographer might take. This stuff takes time away from my family while they are home on the weekends and evenings, and I am just not willing to give more of that time away during these precious years. I also work 2 mornings a week as a Physical Therapist Assistant. I love that job. I have been doing it 14 years this year and I don’t see myself ever giving it up completely. It’s a challenge and it feels like a service to our community during their most difficult times. I don’t take that lightly. My husband is a Pastor, so that makes me a Pastor’s wife, which is not really a job, but kind of is? It is something I try and devote time to every week, so that stretches me a little thin at times, but again, I enjoy serving God and his people. It is completely worth it.

I love music

I have played piano since I was 5 and have been singing at least as long as that. I sing for my worship team, my hubs plays the drums and our children are both learning instruments and have started playing for church, too. I love that it is something that all of us can do together and enjoy it equally.

Getting together in real life is important

I think it’s a dying pasttime- getting together with friends. Do you? I feel like most of the time we just hole up in our houses in front of our various screens. I kinda hate it, even though I know I am guilty. Let’s get together and do something! Or do nothing! I am game for either.

I love to read!

Send me all your recommendations, because this is one hobby that I have never let drop. These are some of my recent favorites.

I’ve been married (almost) 15 years

My hubba-hubba hubby and I have been married for a long time. We got married super young (like… I can’t imagine my children getting engaged and married at the age I did. It’s a little crazy to think about it.) He is my earthly rock and my best friend. I love him so much. I believe the marriage is one way God teaches us about his love for his church, and Nick models that love so well. He is patient, kind, compassionate and wise. He’s cute too <3 <3
